…is where the heart of The Work Commons complex beats.
You can find anyone and everyone hanging around the Commons. Furnished beautifully, but with a minimalist feel. In other words not overboard. We have designed this area to have a community and a somewhat homey feeling, but with comfortable and appropriate furnishings for the work place.
Look up to the eleven foot exposed ceilings, spray painted Black Iron with suspended brushed steel warm LED lighting, look out over rooftops of Newport and up to Mount Vernon through the new large windows, and look down at the original Montgomery Ward local maplewood flooring.
You can choose to stand or sit at the Work Bar, recycled from the original 3”x12” Douglas Fir floor joists cut out to make way for the new elevator shaft servicing all floors, including the Newport Natural wine and beer cellar below ground. You can choose to work at one of the standing or sitting convertible desks, have a rendez-vous with other work patrons at the small meeting table, or hang out in the very comfortable and cozy lounge area.
The Commons is individually heated and cooled, is access controlled, open to day passes during working hours, and available 24/7 to members.
